Our story

How we got here.

Nexacraft Agency started in 2009 as a one-person operation helping local US service businesses get visibility on Craigslist, back when Craigslist was still the dominant lead source for tradespeople in most US metros. The first clients were small HVAC and plumbing operations who needed help getting their ads in front of more homeowners.

Over the next decade, the work expanded. Craigslist gave way to Google Ads. Google Ads grew alongside Local Services Ads. Facebook became a viable channel. SEO matured into something agencies could actually execute predictably. Through every platform shift, the core work stayed the same: help US home service contractors get more inquiries from real homeowners, at sustainable cost per lead, in the markets they actually serve.

By 2018, we’d delivered more than 1,000 campaigns. By 2024, we’d formed Nexacraft Agency LLC in Montana to consolidate everything under a single US legal entity. Today, we’re a small, specialized team focused entirely on home service contractor marketing, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, landscaping, pest control, pool service, water damage restoration, and garage doors.

Most of our growth has come through referrals and through reviews on third-party freelance marketplaces, 153 reviews on Freelancer (4.9/5, 95% repeat client rate) and 76 completed jobs on Upwork over more than a decade. We’ve never chased agency-scale volume because the contractor business doesn’t reward generalists. Sixteen years in, we’re confident that’s the right tradeoff.

Our operating history.

  1. 2009
    Started running US small-business marketing campaigns out of a single-room office. First clients were local service businesses needing visibility on Craigslist.
  2. 2012
    Expanded into Upwork-based service delivery. Began working with US contractors across multiple states, HVAC, plumbing, moving, and home services.
  3. 2015
    Added Google Ads management to the service mix as paid search became the dominant lead source for home service businesses.
  4. 2018
    Crossed 1,000+ campaigns delivered. Began specializing primarily in home service contractor verticals where our process delivered the best results.
  5. 2021
    Added Local SEO and Facebook/Instagram Ads as full service lines. Built out the multi-channel marketing playbook used today.
  6. 2024
    Formed Nexacraft Agency LLC in Montana to consolidate operations under a single US legal entity. Began the transition from freelance-marketplace delivery to direct client engagements.
  7. 2026
    Launched nexacraftagency.com as the direct-client home for the agency. 16 years, 6,500+ campaigns, 1M+ ads published, 200+ US cities served.

How we run this business.

  • Specialization over generalization

    We market for US home service contractors. That’s it. We don’t take SaaS clients, we don’t do e-commerce, we don’t market to other industries we don’t deeply understand. Specialization compounds. After 16 years of running contractor campaigns, we know what works in this vertical, and what doesn’t.

  • Transparency over theatrics

    You always know what we’re doing, what it costs, and what it’s delivering. Ad spend goes directly from you to Google or Meta. We never touch the budget. Reports are written in plain English. If something isn’t working, we tell you. If we don’t know the answer to something, we tell you that too.

  • No long-term contracts

    Every engagement is month-to-month. If we’re not delivering, you leave. That puts the pressure on us to perform every month, not lock you in and coast. Our retention rate after 16 years of this model is something we’re genuinely proud of.

  • Honest about results

    We don’t guarantee specific lead counts. Anyone who does is lying, marketing has too many variables (your service area, competition, season, your sales process) to guarantee outcomes. What we guarantee is execution: the work gets done, the reporting is honest, the optimization is constant.

Right fit

Who we work best with.

Not every contractor is a good fit for what we do, and not every agency is the right fit for every contractor. Here’s how we think about it.

A good fit if you are…

  • A US home service contractor in HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, landscaping, pest control, pool service, water damage restoration, or garage doors.
  • Doing $300K–$10M in annual revenue. Below that, the ad spend math usually doesn’t work. Above that, you probably need an in-house marketing manager more than an agency.
  • Willing to give campaigns 60–90 days to stabilize before judging performance. Most channels need that window to optimize.
  • Open to honest reporting, even when the news is bad. We’d rather tell you a channel isn’t working than dress it up.
  • Looking for a long-term partner, not a one-month miracle. Month-to-month engagement, but with an eye toward sustained growth.

Probably not a fit if you…

  • Need guaranteed lead counts by a specific date. We don’t guarantee outcomes because we can’t control your service area, competition, or sales process.
  • Want overnight results. Paid ads can produce leads in week one, but cost per lead won’t stabilize for 6–12 weeks. SEO takes longer.
  • Operate outside US home services. SaaS, e-commerce, B2B, professional services, we don’t market for those verticals and won’t pretend we do.
  • Want us to also build your website, handle your CRM, run your sales team, or do other operational work outside the marketing channels we specialize in.
  • Are looking for the cheapest option. Our pricing is mid-market for a reason. If sub-$500/month management fees are the priority, you’ll find better matches elsewhere.
